Lex, Lex, Lex, strange little Lex. While most little girls were off playing with dolls, she was photographing the neighbors and solving ‘mysteries’. She remembers her first ‘crime’. Somebody stole a neighborhood boy’s bike and she was able to retrieve it right from their backyard with enough digging. A lot of people, even at a young age, didn’t like how strong she came on. Lex was the kind of girl that when she wanted something, she got it. She was a born leader.
For most of her life it’s just been her and Drew. He was the opposite of her, a follower, willing to follow Lex around on her crazy adventures and keep her company. Even though he complains a lot, she doesn’t know where she’d be without her partner in crime. From the day she stole back his bike they’ve been inseparable, her protecting him and he keeping her from being lonely.
Her insatiable curiosity led to her heading the journalism team in high school. And heading the journalism team only solidified the want to write for the rest of her life. It felt like the blood in her veins, like if she stopped writing she’d stop being. She wasn’t exactly popular in school but she was damn efficient and she won quite a few scholarships for her essays and entered college for journalism.
↪ Life with the Supers
When the ‘Supers’ started coming around, she was determined to be the first to get a clear picture. As an intern she was mostly fetching coffee and picking up dry cleaning when she was itching to for something a little more. Maybe if she proved herself she could secure a spot on the team and if not, well, it was an adventure and a sure A in her class. She grabbed Drew and together they searched the city… What they found was trouble in the form of a desperate mugger. When they claimed not to have any money, the man tried to attack both of them and were stopped by what appeared to be… nothing. Literally it looked like nothing was beating up the mugger, and then he appeared. The Shadow.. And the second she whipped out her camera he was gone again.
Lex never said thanks or got her picture, but she’s vowed she’ll do both.
